Katharine Kelleman, CEO of Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT), and CONNECT's keynote speaker, has been driving innovation and excellence since 2018. Renowned for her "dream big" philosophy, she’s transformed PRT by enhancing transit services, improving customer communication, and advocating for equitable fare systems. Katharine’s leadership propelled the development of a visionary 25-year plan and garnered national recognition, including awards for innovative programs like “Room2Ride.” Her dynamic leadership has cemented PRT as a critical regional service, especially during challenging times. Katharine also serves on prestigious boards, including the American Public Transportation Association and WTS International.

Amy Silbermann, Chief Development Officer at Pittsburgh Regional Transit, oversees Planning, Service Development, Engineering, and Scheduling. Since joining PRT in 2011, she has focused on data-driven decision-making and expanding the Planning Department. Amy holds degrees in Biology, Teaching, and Public Policy, and is a certified planner with AICP.

Christopher Tuff, Deputy CEO of Centro since 2020, oversees operations across four counties and represents the Authority statewide. Joining in 2016, he held roles like VP of Administration. Previously, he was an Auditor for NY State. He holds degrees in accounting and public administration and was named in Mass Transit’s 40 Under 40.

DeShalon Brownlee is the VP of Bus Operations at the Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation (SMART), with over 25 years of transit experience. She has held various roles, including Coach Operator, Assistant VP, and Terminal Manager. DeShalon specializes in management, project oversight, and transit supervision, ensuring operational excellence at SMART.

Erik Jensen, Manager of Strategy and Policy at WMATA, leads a bus modernization program integrating best practices with new technology. Before VTA, Joonie worked in semiconductor, vehicle, computer manufacturing, and pharmaceutical distribution. Joonie holds a BS in Computer Science and a Master’s in Business Management.

Lucien Dolliole is the CAD/AVL Manager at the RTA of New Orleans, where he's been optimizing transit technology for over six years. With nearly two decades of experience as a Reports Specialist for DHS FEMA, Lucien’s expertise in data and reporting has been invaluable in enhancing emergency management and transit operations.

Senior Director for Mechanical Capital Projects, METRA 

 

Sean Cronin is the Senior Director for Mechanical Capital Projects at Metra Commuter Railroad in Chicago, IL. He oversees the agency’s Mechanical Department Capital Programs, which include rolling stock engineering and quality assurance teams. Sean has been with Metra for 14 years and is currently leading efforts to procure new rolling stock, both cars and locomotives and overhauling three different types of rolling stock utilizing the existing workforce.

Rippal Kanda, Operations Systems Supervisor at VTA, works closely with fixed-route bus and light rail operations to leverage business intelligence tools to maximize valuable operational efficiency when tracking key performance indicators. Before his current role, Rippal worked in the  commuter shuttle space performing travel demand management for Silicon Valley technology companies such as Apple and Google. Rippal holds a BS in Public Health, MBA in Strategic Management, MS in Transportation Management, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Lindsay Cook serves as the Grants and Compliance Coordinator at Kitsap Transit, where she is currently overseeing the CAD/AVL Replacement project, a key initiative aimed at enhancing transit operations.  Since joining Kitsap Transit in 2002, Lindsay has been instrumental in managing a variety of capital projects that improve both bus and ferry services. Her close collaboration with the planning team has also been pivotal in facilitating the adoption of Maior, showcasing her dedication to advancing transit efficiency and effectiveness at Kitsap Transit.

CONNECT Quick FAQs 

When and where is CONNECT 2024?

CONNECT will be held at the Kimpton Monaco Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA, September 15 - 18.

Registration opens on September 15 at 3 p, followed by our opening reception at 5:30 p at the Kimpton Monaco Pittsburgh Rooftop. The full program will begin Monday, September 16, and conclude Wednesday, September 18. A closing remarks breakfast will be held Thursday, September 19 from 9a - 11a

When will the program be available?

The preliminary agenda is now available. The full program will be available by Mid-August 2024.

Are there group discounts?

Yes! We provide a 20% discount code for teams of 3 or more. You will need to register together to receive the bulk discount.

What time does CONNECT start on September 15?

CONNECT registration opens at 3p on Sunday, September 15, followed by an opening reception at the Kimpton Monaco Rooftop at 5:30p.

Can I bring a guest?

Absolutely! Exploring a new city can be fun for partners, friends, or families. We welcome your guests to attend the conference, but we ask that you register them as guests in your registration.

The guest fee is $125, and this will cover all evening events and meals throughout the event for your guests. 

When does registration open?

Registration is open now until September 2

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation must be received in writing before August 30, and you will receive the full amount for the conference refunded. Please email sbayer@cleverdevices.com 

I'm no longer able to attend CONNECT, can I transfer my registration to a team member?

Absolutely! You should be able to use your confirmation code to modify your reservation through the system. If you have any issues or would rather have the modification done by our system admin, please email sbayer@cleverdevices.com
